    MALLAM AHMED O. SALAWUDEEN -ACII (London) CHARTERED INSURANCE PRACTITIONER

    Mallam Ahmed Olaniyi Salawudeen is the man at the helm of affairs in STANDARD INSURANCE CONSULTANTS LTD. His conduces; endeavours and exertions towards the conception, contrivance and breeding of STANDARD have come to make his name synonymous with the nomenclature of the firm. He has been in the Insurance business for more than Three Decades and this has made his experience, might and memory-vast in the field. He started his Insurance career with the Royal Insurance Group and worked in the various Departments of the company for 15 years. This spell with the Royal Insurance Group helped imbue in him a special sense of versatility such that when he became the Area Manager of Law Union and Rock Insurance Company Limited for Oyo, Ogun, Kwara and Bendel States between 1972 and 1976, the Law Union and Rock Insurance Company Limited was to witness an era of vibrant dynamism in Claims and Underwriting.

    To lend sumptuous academic authenticity to his adroitness in Insurance Servicing, he qualified by Examination as a Graduate of Chartered Insurance Institute of London (CllL) in 1976,and subsequently as an Associate Member of the Institute on October Ist the same year.

    The build-up to the acquisition of the CII Certificate by Mallam Salawudeen equally represents the Force Majeure of his inclination in the Insurance business. He underwent a Post-graduate course in Insurance at the University of Lagos Continuing Education Centre between 1976 and 1978. He was sponsored by the Law Union and Rock Insurance Company Limited to attend a General Overseas Insurance course at the College of Insurance, Surbiton Surrey, England and was attached to the Royal Insurance Group, London on his successful completion of the course for practical experience in General Insurance Underwriting and Claims.

    He was sent to the Group Marine, Aviation, Oil and Energy section in Liverpool and then to Manchester for Engineering Insurance with the British Engine and Boiler Insurance Co. Ltd. For his brilliant and outstanding performance in the Cll Part A Examination, Mallam Salawudeen was awarded the Institute's Prize in 1972 as the best student in the Examination and a lump sum of Four Hundred Pounds was awarded to him by the Royal Insurance Overseas on the completion of the Cll Examination. Having resigned from the Law Union and Rock Insurance Company Limited, he joined STANDARD INSURANCE CONSULTANTS LTD as its Chief Executive to-date.

    Mallam Salawudeen has attended various Insurance Courses and Seminars both locally and on the International Scene. He attended a Master of Energy Course organized by WILLIS LIMITED in LONDON.

    He is happily married with children.
